Turning Lemons into Lemonade by Kyle at WA

How cliche, I know.  This is a phrase that you have probably heard a million times over the years, but it is one that is truly relevant right now.  It is the art of taking a BAD situation, and turning it into a GOOD outcome.

Look, I get it.  Times are tough right now.  There are still a lot of unknowns for all of us.  Nobody has experienced a pandemic in our lifetime.  The pandemic in this case, is going to be our LEMON.

Lemons are sour.  And so is the state of the world right now (although there are many amazing things happening simultaneously)

We want to take this pandemic, and utilize it for the betterment of ourselves and take all the “good” we can out of it.  In other words, we are going to crush these lemons, add a little sugar and come out with some delicious lemonade.

So what does this lemonade look like?  Well I will be getting to that.  First though, I want to focus a bit on the lemons.

I have experienced a lot of lemons over the years…

I remember back in 2008.  The financial crisis.

This was a true financial crisis, where people didn’t have money for an extended period of time and millions of people lost their homes.  The stock market crashed in parallel with the housing market, and it felt like the economy was never going to recover (it ultimately did, and went on to the biggest winning streak in the history of the market and economy).

We were able to grow and thrive during 2008 within the online world amidst this economic turmoil. We were able to make lemonade from the situation.

I remember when I started out online and I had ZERO dollars.  I was in school full time, I felt like I was up against a wall.  I didn’t even have a credit card, I had to borrow my girlfriend’s (now wife).   It couldn’t get any worse than that…I was able to start an affiliate marketing business and here I stand 18 years later being full time online.  I took that situation which felt like rock bottom at the time, and turned it into lemonade.

That is just a few or MANY potential examples.

What I am getting at here is that in times like we are dealing with right now with the COVID crisis, you can either let it get you down, or you can take the bull by the horns and use it as motivation to drive you forward and to better yourself, better your life, and truly do something that you are passionate about.

The reality is that the Internet affords you the ultimate opportunity.
